The Royal Palace is located in Budapest at the top of Castle Hill inside of the Castle District of Buda. This was the residence for whoever controlled the city at the time as well as potential control of the main waterway. This made it easier for invasions so they rebuilt the style according to the period. The style of the palace has a combination of architectural styles such as Gothic and Baroque. Now in the present time this palace is the most popular and most significant cultural center that holds many museums and most historical monuments.

The Matthias Church is Budapest religion and sits in the heart of the Castle Quarter. The church is 700 years old and is also called the Church of Our Lady, it was renamed the Matthias Church after the nation's famous ruler who was King Matthias. King Matthias was known as a patron of learning and the arts, he rebuilt the Hungarian state after many years of feudal anarchy. The roof on the church is tiled and it has a Gothic style, this church is one of the best Budapest's structures. This is also the church where the nation's kings were crowned as well as where King Matthias got married. The church still has high mass and holds many concerts, organ and choir recitals. The Turks took over the church during 1541 and it was then converted into a mosque. It was restored again in the 19th century with the neo Gothic style, gilded altars, statues, rose windows and frescoes.

Fisherman's Bastion is located behind the Matyas Church and it overlooks the river. This attraction was built some time around the 1900's and was built by the same person who built the Matyas Church. No one really knows why or how it got it's name but there are stories about it. One of the stories is that in the old days this is where the fishermen defended Castle Hill. Visitors can climb up Fisherman's Bastion but there is a small fee, most people say it is worth it for the views. This gives most people a great chance for photo ops and are said to be the best in all of Budapest. When coming down the hill, visitors can come down through the park which is a popular decision for most.

The Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden is open daily from 9am and closes and various times during the year. The zoo needs a little bit more funds but is slowly being decorated. The entrance to the zoo is located right next door to the Gundel restaurant which is a very popular place to dine. The zoo is actually one of the most famous attractions in Budapest, Hungary. The zoo also participates in conservation by having different captive breeding programs with nature conservation reasons, educational work and habitat conservations as well. There are many new animals being born every year in the zoo as well including Baby Lisimba which is a southern white rhinoceros.

The Parliament Building is one of the most popular attractions in Budapest as well as one of the most beautiful buildings in Budapest. It sits at the western end of Kossuth Lajos Ter. The construction of the building began in 1885 but the building wasn't completed until 1902. There was a session held inside the church in 1896 even though it was not finished yet. The Parliament Building was inspired but the House of Parliament in London. It sits right on the bank of the Danube at 268 meters long and 96 meters high. At the front entrance there are lion statues they lead you to the ceremonial stairway which is where Lotz's ceiling frescoes can be seen.

The House of Terror is a museum that documents the Nazi and Soviet occupation in Hungary. This is not what most people would think it was just by hearing the name. The museum is held in a place that was once really a house of terror that are the former headquarters of various organizations like the Arrow cross Party and the Political Police. Right when you walk in the museum there is a big wall covered with pictures of the victims of the terror regimes. Each room in the museum is styled differently with many videos, photographs, and artifacts. There is a room that is covered in all documents and one that is covered in propaganda posters.
